LEGO Lunar Cargo Train

Hi everyone! This model is a love letter to the LEGO Space theme, which started my love for LEGO when I was a 4. It includes a mix of vintage space parts and more modern parts, as well as modern techniques to give a fresh vibe to classic space. It also has a couple of obscure sci-fi and LEGO easter eggs; see if you can spot any!

It was designed to fit in anyone's Space collection or diorama and I tried to fill the design with a ton of storytelling, little details and various buildings techniques for a fun building experience. I also did a lot of real-life test builds to make sure it’s as stable and strong as possible.

Story

The Lunar Cargo Train is a high-speed transport system designed to efficiently move resources between outposts on colonized moons. It carries supplies like air tanks, helmets, mining robots, minerals and recon vehicles. The power loader suit aboard the train helps with missions such as building and fixing communication towers between colonies. The cockpit of the rear locomotive can also transform into a patrol spaceship, offering protection against space pirates and ensuring the cargo's safety!

Features

• The train is around 80 cm (30 in)!
• Includes 5 Minifigs, as well as extra space helmets and air tanks of different colors!
• The train bogies can be used either in monorail mode to support the train on its monotrack display stand, or can be rotated to fit on standard train tracks displays! The main train is designed to house a powered up kit!
• Includes the train’s Hyper-engine, a moon buggy that can be stored away, an RC mining bot with familiar colors, an extra-terrestrial life form, a moon mech and a detachable spacecraft!
