How it works

Fresh data, no guesswork

  1. 1

    We check prices every day

LEGO.com and the major US retailers, set by set, so the prices you see are today's.

  2. 2

    We track retirements

LEGO's own "retiring soon" flags, plus the sets quietly disappearing from shelves.

  3. 3

You buy at the right time

Links go straight to the retailer. Some are affiliate links: that's how BricksValue stays free.

FAQ

LEGO prices and retirements, answered

When do LEGO sets retire?

Most LEGO sets stay on sale for somewhere between 18 months and three years, and most retire at the end of July or the end of December. LEGO doesn't publish a full schedule in advance, but it flags some sets as "retiring soon" on LEGO.com shortly before they go.

How can I tell if a LEGO set is retiring soon?

Look for the "Retiring soon" label on LEGO.com. BricksValue will list every set carrying that label, along with the best current price for each, so you don't have to check set by set.

Do retired LEGO sets go up in value?

Often, but not always. Once a set is no longer produced, the supply of new, sealed copies only shrinks, and popular sets from big themes have historically sold above their original price. Plenty of sets don't, so look at real sold prices before buying anything to resell.

What does price per piece tell me?

It's a quick way to compare value between sets: divide the price by the piece count. It varies a lot by theme, since licensed sets and sets with large or printed elements cost more per piece, so compare sets of the same kind.

Is BricksValue affiliated with LEGO?

No. BricksValue is an independent site. LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group, which does not sponsor, authorize or endorse this site.

Is BricksValue free?

Yes. Some links to retailers are affiliate links: if you buy through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes the prices we show or the order we show them in.
