FAQ
What is the most expensive LEGO set?
Of the sets you can buy new in the UK today, the most expensive is Death Star (75419), at a regular price of £899.99 for 9,023 pieces. Retired sets can sell for far more on the resale market.
Why are some LEGO sets so expensive?
Piece count is the main driver, followed by licenses (Star Wars, Harry Potter, Disney...), special elements such as printed or large pieces, and exclusivity. Price per piece is the fairest way to compare them.
Do expensive LEGO sets go up in value?
Large, exclusive sets from popular themes have historically sold above their original price after retiring, but not all do. Check whether a set is retiring soon before counting on it.
